According to Freeze-Dried Manufacture Equipment for freeze-dried candies, humidity is the greatest enemy! Please, keep your candy as dry as possible! Make sure that the Mylar bag is sealed tight when you’re not enjoying it, somewhere in a cool place, out of direct sunlight. Experienced customers advised the freezer as a great place to keep freeze-dried candy crispy and delightful.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift wrapping and special requirements for packaging are available upon request. Your order will be wrapped carefully and thoughtfully with paper, string, and a handwritten note with words of your choosing.
Custom and personalized orders are available upon request. We are happy to help you with your specific order. Please, do contact us at least a week before.

If your package does not turn up within the expected timeframe.

If you didn't receive your parcel within the expected estimated delivery dates, please contact us and we will do our best to sort this situation.
Please, bear in mind, that we won't proceed with actions or that a parcel is ‘lost’ in the post until it has been a full 10 working days from the date of expected delivery the UK ONLY (Royal Mail policy).
Undelivered EU parcels should be reported to our shop as soon as possible based on the estimated delivery time. The latest applicable report is 20 days after the estimated shipping date. By reporting undelivered parcels within 20 days, it is possible to investigate the cause of the delay/loss and take corrective action.
The quicker we receive your request, the better chance we have of solving it.

Who do you use to ship your parcels?

We use the Royal Mail, 2nd class postage.

We pack all our candy orders with the utmost care but sometimes Delivery can be a little rough with our packages. While a few crumbs are natural during shipping if you ever feel your order has not arrived as it should please don't hesitate to reach out to us. But we promise the crumbs taste just as good as the rest. We recommend putting them on ice cream or just shake them straight into your mouth - YUM!

The parcel has been returned to our shop (the Royal Mail was unable to deliver it (missing address details, or incorrect address), the parcel wasn't picked up from the Post Office on time. Refused by Customs. What happens next?

If the parcel is returned to our shop with reasons:
- Royal Mail was unable to deliver (incorrect or uncompleted address)
- The parcel was not picked up at the Post Office on time.
- The parcel was refused.
- Customs refused the parcel without explanation.
Our shop cannot accept any returns for perishable or bespoke goods. This refers to all products CandyDuke store sells as they are made to order. We cannot accept items that are returned to sender, or that are refused for whatever reason. They will have to be discarded due to the nature of the items. Because of this, we cannot refund, so please ensure that your parcel is received.

We will work together to find a way to resolve this situation. Please,
- firstly carefully double-check that the address is correct
- talk to your neighbours to make sure it wasn't delivered to their house
- talk to your family members
- talk to your mail carrier to check that it was delivered
Your mail carrier is the most reliable source of information about the delivery of your mail, as they will have first-hand knowledge of the delivery process.

If it has been missing/stolen, please file a prompt police report. Filing a prompt police report will help ensure that the issue is properly investigated.

I need to place some updating with my order, How shall I do it?

Please contact us within one day of placing your order. We will be happy to assist you and we will do our best to sort an issue with your order. Anything past this date and we will be unable to help.

An item arrived damaged

We are unable to refund any items that have unfortunately been damaged in transit. Our items leave our shop in pristine condition. We do our part to ensure the items stay in pristine condition during transit. Every single pack of freeze-dried sweets is bubble-wrapped, and in some cases, the sweets are double wrapped. However, as freeze-dried sweets are extremely delicate, and the delivery service may sometimes be rough with the packages, the sweets may break (especially during worldwide transportation). As this is inevitable for freeze-dried sweets, we are unable to refund.

Claims/Refunds

If an issue with your order we require notification via Etsy. The quicker we receive your request, the better chance we have of solving it. A damaged/incomplete order, please contact us immediately. It's important to take photos of the damaged items. This is the proof needed to open a case with the delivery company. All other cases (loss of package/undelivered) should be reported within 20 days of the estimated shipping date. If we receive an inquiry after the timeframes mentioned above, we cannot proceed with your issue. This is because delivery companies have their own claim/refund timeframes. If the time period for submitting the claim has expired, then the delivery company will not be able to investigate the claim and issue a refund.

If my order cancelled

We apologize if we cancel your order or one of the items.
We are very passionate about customer service. Sometimes we fail to meet your expectations. If it happens, it was beyond our control due to technical/mechanical issues or delivery delays. (We do not stock a large quantity of non-freeze-dried sweets. Sometimes the wholesalers struggle to deliver the parcels on time as well).
In this case, we will do a partial refund for the canceled items or a full refund for the order. We do not replace items because of limited stock availability.

If the order did not meet expectations

Perishable and bespoke goods are not able to be resold, and therefore cannot be accepted for return. CandyDuke products are all freshly made, strictly to order, so they all fall under this category. Items that are refused for whatever reason (don't like the taste, did not meet expectations etc.) cannot be accepted because they will be discarded due to the nature of the items. Which means we are unable to provide a refund.
It is essential that customers review their orders carefully before completing their purchase. Because once an order has been completed, it is often difficult to make changes or get a refund if something is wrong with the order.
